TER-GEN™ reliably supplies buildings with power and heat – and you, as the owner, attractive revenues. Year on year!
Distributed, renewable energies such as solar or wind power have one huge disadvantage: they are only available when the sun is shining or the wind blowing.
With the TER-GEN™, you get a highly efficient small power plant which reliably supplies power and heat, regardless of the time of day or the weather. It also provides attractive revenues year on year. Trading the fuel supply for the units including green gas we insure maximum finical returns. The units are manufactured to high quality standards in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001.
The TER-GEN™ series offers the perfect solution for the combined generation of power and heat. The modules are particularly low emission thanks to a clever three-way catalytic converter. CO2 emissions are reduced by up to 60 percent by comparison with separate generation of power and heat.
For the ultimate in CO2 reductions, TER-GEN CHPs can be run on Green Gas (biomethane) which is produced from organic matter utilising human, food and agricultural waste. Green Gas prevents the emission of methane and other harmful greenhouse gases into the environment.
Alternatively, some TER-GEN™ CHPs can be converted to operate using hydrogen. Being the most abundant substance in the universe (about 75% of all matter) when hydrogen is burned it creates water, the property for which it was named: in Greek, hydrogen meaning “water-former”. Get in touch for further information on Green Gas and Hydrogen.
Power delivered to your premises through the national grid network is only 38% efficient and the reason for this is up to 62% is lost during transit or as heat into the atmosphere. Despite renewable energies such as solar or wind having an incredibly low carbon impact, they still have the same issue if the power is distributed to your premises through the grid.
Combined heat and power (CHP) engines generate electricity on-site and the by-product of this generation process is heat. When this heat is utilised, the humble CHP is not only more efficient than mains supplied power, but it is also more environmentally friendly, and cheaper than buying from the grid.
Ready for TER-GEN™? The engine is the heart of a CHP plant. Technologically advanced, long-lasting engines by prestigious manufacturers which have been tried and tested millions of times.
INDOP CHP systems are a key part of our energy solution. Essentially, they allow us to generate both electricity and thermal energy from a single fuel source, making the process highly efficient. Instead of wasting heat that would typically escape during electricity production, these systems capture and use it to heat buildings, industrial processes, or even provide cooling through absorption chillers.
The INDOP technology we implement is particularly innovative in that it integrates advanced controls and operates flexibly, adapting to real-time demand. This helps our clients maintain energy resilience while also significantly reducing their carbon footprint.
In practical terms, we install and manage these systems for a range of applications. Whether it’s for a large manufacturing facility, commercial complex, or community district energy, we ensure that our clients can generate their own power, use the heat productively, and remain less dependent on the grid. Over time, this leads to substantial energy cost savings, enhanced reliability, and a cleaner environmental impact.
